Advanced Credit Geometry
Class offered in two platforms: In Person and Asynchronous
IN PERSON ADVANCED CREDIT GEOMETRY:
Introduces properties of lines, planes, triangles, quadrilaterals, and circles. Methods of inductive and deductive reasoning are used in proof of theorems and constructions. The topic of right triangle trigonometry is also introduced.
All materials provided by instructor. No textbook purchase required.
The final exam will be in person on July 24 at Delbarton School. Delbarton Summer School will not be in session on June 19 or July 3.
PLATFORM: IN PERSON

Asynchronous Geometry
Geometry comes from the Latin “Geo” meaning earth and “Metry” meaning measurement. Geometry is a branch of mathematics concerned with questions of size, shape, relative position of figures, and the properties of space. This course introduces properties of lines, planes, triangles, quadrilaterals, and circles. Reflections and transformations are used as a means of illustrating congruence of planar figures. Methods of inductive and deductive reasoning are used in the proof of theorems. Areas of polygons, circles, solids, and volume of solids are also discussed. Additional topics include a study of the trigonometry of right triangles.
Asynchronous Learning Model:
A course in which instruction is conducted solely online within Delbarton’s approved learning management system (Schoology). Students will complete coursework on their own within established course deadlines.
