Young Writers Workshop
The young writer’s weekly workshop will give students a fun way to learn sentence mechanics and fool-proof methods of academic writing. Students will read, write, and recite poetry and develop the skills to express their observations in a straight- forward manner that will sustain them through high school and beyond. Our activities will help your son or daughter develop a foundation of skills to write coherent paragraphs consistently for a variety of academic settings. Each week, with explicit instruction on word choices and combinations, and grammar and writing skills, students will learn to write efficient and effective sentences of essential information and formulate their ideas into paragraph form. All required reading materials are provided for this workshop. Students may enroll in this course on a weekly basis for from one to five weeks.
